Goshen Gollege caves – but perhaps they are trying to dig out.

Update: Goshen College announced that it would review the anthem policy in June 2011.  Goshen College has “heard from many alumni, friends and members of the larger Christian community – some in favor and more who oppose this decision.” (http://www.goshen.edu/news/pressarchive/02-17-10-national-anthem2-419.html)

As a peacemaking church we should keep an open dialoug on this issue, expressing our viewpoint.  We can not become content and complacent waiting until June 2011, we must continue to express our feelings and viewpoints.  Goshen College is keeping the door open are we willing to join them? When popular culture stifles the voice of opposition, the opposition can respond. When peacemaking people stifle their own voice, who will respond?
